  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup chopped nuts optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon.
  • Spread the apple mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the apples.
  • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  • Add chopped nuts if using.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  • Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
