- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 packet 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 ½ cups warm milk
- ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 large egg
- Extra flour for dusting
In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Add melted butter and egg to the yeast mixture and stir well.
Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
Shape each piece into a ball and place them on a baking sheet.
Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
