- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¼ cup heavy cream or milk
- A pinch of salt
Place the softened butter in a large mixing bowl and beat until creamy.
Gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing on low speed.
Increase speed to medium and mix until well blended.
Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
Slowly pour in the heavy cream or milk.
Beat on high speed for about 3 minutes until fluffy.
If too thick, add more cream, one tablespoon at a time.
Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
