French Fries Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional seasonings: paprika garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Wash and peel the russet potatoes.
  • Cut the potatoes into evenly sized strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes.
  • Drain and pat the potato strips dry.
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Toss the dried potato strips in vegetable oil and salt.
  • Spread the potatoes evenly on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Remove when golden brown and crispy.
  • Season with additional salt or spices before serving.
