- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture, mixing well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
