Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb skirt steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Fresh herbs for garnish
  • Side salad optional
  • Mashed potatoes optional

Instructions
 

  • Start by marinating the skirt steak in olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce, and lime juice for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Remove the steak from the marinade and let excess drip off.
  • Place the steak on the grill or skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; 130°F is ideal for medium-rare.
  • Once cooked, remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
  • Pair with your favorite sides, such as a salad or mashed potatoes.
